Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
